Batanes—one of the prime tourist destinations in the country. The flights are limited, and ticket prices are at an all-time high. Add to the fact that lodging is limited, and the chances of getting stranded there because of a random weather disturbance are slim but never impossible. Your time there will surely be one for the books.
My ramblings aside, we were there because of a work engagement last June, and that was the most serene three nights of my life. The buzz of the city, the light pollution, the smoky air—it just wasn’t there. There were not even small stores open beyond 7 PM.

The only crime that was recorded there this year, according to the local police, was committed by a drunkard who got pissed off at a companion and ran amok. But no harm was done. A school caught on fire there this year, but thankfully, no one was hurt.

I know. I know. I talk too much. So here are some more photos I took of our after-work trip in Basco.
